Copperwoman Album Release Singing Circle flyer

One day, I sang one of my older songs to my daughter, Jody. She said “I’ve never heard that song. You need to leave your legacy.” One thing led to another, and I found myself in Costa Rica at Sacred Sound Studios following through on her suggestion.

During my circle at the Bati festival in Sebastopol I mentioned that I was looking for a studio, but I hadn’t gotten a yes on any of the ones that I had been told about. My friends Aspen and Kenergy told me they were heading to an Eco Village in Costa Rica that had an amazing studio. Before I knew it, I had made contact and reserved time to work in the studio early January, 2026.

I brought down little booklets of about 43 songs, a selection of songs that I had not recorded in the studio previously. I had a vision to gather a choir to sing with me on the songs. As it turned out, there was so much going on that I was unable to gather the choir before my time in the studio began. I spent two days singing songs acappella, and with Guitar on my own.

Meanwhile, I had put it out to the community and gathered a small choir to sing with me. On the following days, I recorded with the “Florestral Singers,” as I named them. We did this magical thing. We gathered in a room in the studio and each person was mic’d. I taught a song after which we recorded it. We did 13 songs this way. The singers were great, not professionals, just people who love to sing.

All in all we recorded 27 songs which I have divided into two albums. Thus, this event so we can all get together and sing and learn the newly recorded, songs written over the years from 2008 to present time. The gratitude CD was my last studio recording in 2008. I look forward to sharing the new recordings. They will be making their way to streaming platforms. Meanwhile, they will be available for download on my website.

Come sing with me and celebrate!
